And so we focus on 01:23.438 --> 01:25.604 training , we focus on resilience , we 01:25.604 --> 01:28.770 focus on the member themselves and you 01:28.770 --> 01:30.659 know , helping them along the way 01:30.659 --> 01:32.826 whatever that entails . Um See what they do on a 02:28.620 --> 02:30.398 day to day basis , See what the 02:30.398 --> 02:32.509 requirements are , See if you fit the 02:32.509 --> 02:34.398 bill because there are some basic 02:34.398 --> 02:36.398 requirements that must must meet in 02:36.398 --> 02:38.287 order to be a first sergeant , um 02:38.287 --> 02:40.509 follow them shadow them , you know , be 02:40.509 --> 02:42.509 an additional duty first sergeant . 02:42.509 --> 02:44.620 That's also an opportunity for you to 02:44.620 --> 02:44.170 kind of step in the role without 02:44.170 --> 02:46.392 actually being in the road , see if you 02:46.392 --> 02:48.614 like it . I had probably the best 02:52.614 --> 02:54.614 first sergeant I've ever had when I 02:54.614 --> 02:56.781 left active duty . Um And she was just 02:56.781 --> 02:58.726 amazing enough to where she didn't 02:58.726 --> 03:00.837 understand our career field , but she 03:00.837 --> 03:02.892 went out of her way to find out what 03:02.892 --> 03:05.003 our job was , so she could understand 03:05.003 --> 03:07.226 us as people , helping the people . You 03:07.226 --> 03:09.392 know , it's definitely nice to have an 03:09.392 --> 03:11.726 airman come up to you and say thank you , 03:11.726 --> 03:13.781 you know , just you and them and you 03:13.781 --> 03:16.003 get that , you know , heartfelt , thank 03:16.003 --> 03:18.003 you from them and you can see it in 03:18.003 --> 03:20.226 their eyes so that just right there for 03:20.226 --> 03:21.350 me is enough to keep trucking .
