08:23.336 they first want to meet with a recruiter. 08:23.336 --> 08:25.505 Missouri Air National Guard recruiters are found 08:25.505 --> 08:27.974 at three locations, Jefferson Barracks 08:27.974 --> 08:31.144 in Saint Louis county, Saint Joseph, Missouri, 08:31.144 --> 08:35.849 and Whiteman Air Force Base in Knob Noster, Missouri. 08:35.849 --> 08:38.017 The applicant will call a recruiting office 08:38.017 --> 08:41.688 and set up a time to meet with a recruiter to ask questions 08:41.688 --> 08:43.423 and find out if the Air National Guard 08:43.423 --> 08:46.126 is a good fit for 09:05.011 There's certain days that they do this testing. 09:05.011 --> 09:06.946 You have to be there 6 o'clock in the morning, 09:06.946 --> 09:08.648 and you just plan to be there all day. (Jennifer) The ASVAB stands for 09:27.801 --> 09:31.337 the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery. 09:31.337 --> 09:33.306 (Joseph) You'll be graded in four different areas: 09:33.306 --> 09:37.210 mechanical, admin, general, and electrical. 09:37.210 --> 09:40.980 And based on those scores, we can place you into certain jobs. 09:40.980 --> 09:44.017 (Jennifer) The highest that you can get on the ASVAB is 99. 09:44.017 --> 09:45.819 So, what I'm looking for is somebody 09:45.819 --> 09:48.822 that can score about a 70 or above. 09:48.822 --> 09:51.157 Fifty is about average. 09:51.157 --> 09:54.027 (Kirsten) Once you're done at MEPS, you're going to come back here with us 09:54.027 --> 09:56.262 and sit down with a recruiter, and go over the jobs 09:56.262 --> 09:58.731 Wing. 12:46.366 --> 12:48.101 (Joseph) It's going to give you the opportunity 12:48.101 --> 12:50.703 to meet other folks in the unit who just enlisted. 12:50.703 --> 12:53.473 You're going to learn In basic training, you're sharing a room 17:30.616 --> 17:32.318 with 60 other people. 17:32.318 --> 17:34.086 In tech school, though, you'll have a roommate, 17:34.086 --> 17:36.088 it's much more relaxed, and it's a way 17:36.088 --> 17:38.591 to kind of decompress from basic training. 17:38.591 --> 17:40.359 (Joseph) Your tech school is going to have 17:40.359 --> 17:42.028 what's called a you're outside of the local area, 22:27.846 --> 22:29.448 you'll have a hotel that you'll be staying in. 22:29.448 --> 22:31.984 The next day you'll come in, Sunday morning, go through, 22:31.984 -->
